Alps Ski Summary History

Fresh snowfall is being reported by almost all the leading alpine resorts and temperatures are also falling which means the fresh snow is dry down to resort elevation. Overhead conditions will be mixed this week but when the sunshine breaks through there will be great skiing on offer with more or less all pistes and ski lifts open.

There are excellent snow conditions right across the Alps currently but overhead the weather conditions are more variable. Periods of heavy snowfall are expected across the northern and western Alps over the next few days and this will further enhance the skiing conditions when the weather settles and sunshine returns.

Further heavy snowfall is expected across the Alps this weekend and this will further enhance already excellent snow conditions in all the leading resorts. Good ski googles are advised as there will likely be periods of poor visibility when the fresh snow arrives, but once the weather eases and skies clear there is great skiing in prospect.

Fantastic skiing conditions are reported by all the leading alpine resorts currently with fresh dry snow at all elevations and some decent periods of sunshine allowing skiers to maximise enjoyment of the snow. The outlook is also very good news for skiers with temperatures remaining low enough to preserve ideal snow conditions and further snowfall expected.

There are excellent ski conditions right across the Alps currently with all the leading resorts boasting fresh and dry snow cover at all elevations. The next few days will see periods of sunshine to enjoy all the snow to the max but then this weekend further snowfall will arrive from the NW.

There are fresh snow conditions currently for skiers right across the Alps and prospects for the next few days look excellent as visibility will improve and some sunshine can be expected. Snow depths are now very healthy at all elevations in all the leading resorts and consequently almost all pistes and all ski lifts are open.

There is fantastic skiing on offer in the Alps currently with almost all the leading resorts reporting fresh snow conditions and the deepest snow base depths of the winter. Further snowfall in expected this week and the freezing level is set to fall which means snow conditions will soon be dry and powdery at all elevations.

There is fresh snow falling in almost all the leading resorts of the Alps and more is in the forecast for the week ahead. Temperatures are low meaning that the fresh snowfall is very dry and great to ski. The freezing level this week will mostly remain below resort level and with wintry overhead conditions expected skiers should be well prepared for adverse alpine weather.

Fresh snow has started falling again in the western Alps with most of the French and Swiss resorts reporting snow falling on Saturday. More snow is expected with the week ahead looking very wintry with low temperatures. When the overhead conditions ease and visibility improves there will be excellent ski conditions with dry and powdery snow conditions on and off piste.

The weekend forecast promises a big change for the Alps with temperatures dropping and cloud building. On Sunday heavy snowfall will arrive in the western Alps and head east. Skiers heading to the Alps should expect a wintry week ahead with snow expected in all the leading resorts so be prepared for adverse weather conditions and invest in high quality goggles.

Only one more day of fine, sunny and settled weather for the Alps before skies cloud over and on Saturday fresh snow arrives. Skiers are enjoying excellent snow conditions at all elevations and all the leading alpine resorts are offering most pistes and almost all uplift. Next week there will be heavy snowfall across the Alps so conditions very different to this week.

The excellent skiing on offer right across the Alps continues this week with mostly sunny skies and temperatures low enough to preserve ideal snow conditions from resort level upwards. The forecast though predicts an end to the settled weather this weekend with fresh snowfall arriving and some very heavy snow expected through next week.

There are great ski conditions in the Alps currently with sunshine overhead and good depths of dry groomed snow on piste. The forecast indicates more sunshine until the weekend, when fresh snow arrives. Despite the sunshine this week temperatures are remaining low enough to preserve the dry snow condition at all elevations.

There are excellent conditions for skiers right across the Alps this week with the freshest snow to be found in the French Alps and the Italian resorts in the Aosta Valley region. Generally skiers will find firm packed groomed snow on lower slopes and softer fresher snow conditions on the higher pistes. The forecast indicates plenty of sunshine this week for skiers to enjoy the Alps.

There were significant falls of fresh snow in the Alps of France, Italy and Swiitzerland throughout the weekend, whilst Austria remained mostly dry. Skiing in all the leading resorts is now excellent and following further snowfall in the western Alps on Monday there should be plenty of sunshine this week to enjoy the snow to the max.

Weather conditions have become cloudy in the Alps and snowfall is expected in many resorts this weekend. The heaviest snowfall will be in the western Alps, whilst most of Austria will have only very light snowfall if any. Skiers should expect rather poor visibility this weekend but once the weather clears there will again be excellent sport on offer.

The recent dry and sunny weather in the Alps will change this weekend with fresh snowfall expected. The heaviest snowfall will be in the western half of the Alps so the French and Swiss resorts, plus the Aosta Valley resorts of Italy, will benefit the most. Snow conditions are already good at all elevations and will improve further, but visibility may be poor at times so good goggles are recommended if you are skiing this weekend.

The forecast suggests the fine and settled weather will continue until the weekend when fresh snow arrives in the western Alps. So for skiers and snowboarders, more great sport in prospect.

Lots of sunshine and lots of snow in the Alps means that this is a great week for skiers across Austria, France, Italy and Switzerland. The forecast indicates that the fine weather will continue through to the weekend but despite all the sunshine temperatures are remaining cool enough to preserve excellent snow conditions on both lower and upper pistes.

Wonderful skiing conditions continue to be offered right across the Alps this week with excellent snow depths now being reported at all elevations by all the leading resorts. This means that skiing is equally good on lower or upper slopes. Austria has the freshest snow but all resorts have had recent snow and the snow remains dry and powdery on piste.

There are excellent skiing conditions right across the Alps currently with dry powdery snow at all elevations. Austria caught further fresh snow on Sunday but mostly the weekend was dry with sunshine in many resorts. The week ahead looks excellent for skiing with further sunshine and temperatures still low enough to preserve optimum snow conditions.

Absolutely glorious conditions for skiers in the Alps now with dry groomed snow on piste and blue skies overhead. Snow depths at all elevations are good now so more or less all pistes are open and skiing is equally enjoyable on lower slopes or higher up. More of this excellent alpine ski weather is forecast for the next few days

The snow conditions right across the Alps are superb for skiing now in all the leading resorts. And the other great news is that the forecast promises plenty of sunshine over the next few days to enjoy all the fresh snow. The only caution to note is that the avalanche risk remains high in many areas so local warning must be observed and if you want to ski off piste make sure you employ a mountain guide.

There are excellent ski conditions right across the Alps now with recent weather delivering lots of fresh powder snow along with periods of sunshine. It has also remained very cold at all elevations and this is preserving the snow in optimum condition. The forecast promises more of the same for through the weekend so it is all good news for skiers but beware of very high avalanche risk off-piste.

It remains very cold in the Alps but for well prepared skiers the conditions are excellent as the snow on and off piste is dry and powdery, so great to ski. The forecast looks good for the next few days right across the Alps with a combination of fresh snowfall and periods of sunshine which is really ideal for skiing.

Overhead the weather is also ideal for skiers as low temperatures and frequent snowfall is combining with extended periods of sunshine. Conditions expected to continue like this for the rest of the week at least.

There are excellent conditions for skiers in the Alps this week with fresh snowfall and low temperatures combining with periods of sunshine. When the visibility is good the skiing at all elevations is as good as it has been all winter with dry powdery snow both on and off piste. All the leading alpine resorts are now offering more or less all uplift and all pistes.

The snow was falling heavily in many parts of the Alps through the weekend and now there are really excellent ski conditions both on and off piste at all elevations. Obviously the avalanche risk is very high now in parts of the Alps so local warning must be observed. On piste though skiing is mostly on very dry and powdery groomed snow which is great to ski.

The forecast indicates more snow to come on Sunday but periods of sunshine will develop more frequently on Monday. For skiers now heading out to the Alps the prospects look very good indeed.
