Wonderful skiing conditions are now being reported from all the leading resorts of Austria, France, Italy and Switzerland. There are fresh powder snow conditions on the high slopes of the Alps now but thanks to a fall in the freezing level snow conditions are good right down to resort elevation in all domains - even in the Dolomites where so little snow has fallen this winter, ski conditions are now excellent. And further heavy snowfall is in the weekend forecast.

The leading resorts of Austria, France, Italy and Switzerland have fresh snow cover at all elevations and on the high pistes powder snow skiing conditions are being reported. There will be further periods of heavy snowfall across the Alps this weekend but for the next 2 days extended sunny periods are expected and with sub zero daytime temperatures the skiing on piste will be excellent.

Heavy snowfall has been falling across the Alps and more is in the forecast for through this week. Even the Dolomites are catching snowfall for the first time in several weeks and so now all the leading ski resorts of Austria, France, Italy and Switzerland have great skiing in prospect once the weather settles. In the meantime beware of high avalanche risk across many ski domains but especially in the French and Swiss Alps.

There are fresh dry snow conditions right across the Alps now and further heavy snowfall is expected through this week. High pistes now hold a deep cover of fresh powder snow and skiing on piste is excellent - but off piste due to all the new snow the avalanche risk is considerable so please take not of local hazard warnings.

Heavy snowfall arrived in the Alps through Sunday and more snow is forecast for through this week. The avalanche risk is now very high in most resorts so extreme caution is advised but just as soon as snowfall eases and the visibility improves the piste skiing will be fantastic with deep dry powder snow conditions at the upper elevations across many domains.

Skiers in the Alps are enjoying fresh and dry snow conditions at all elevations in the leading winter resorts of Austria, France, Italy and Switzerland. Through Sunday and Monday heavy snowfall is forecast and ski conditions will be further improved, however the avalanche risk will increase significantly so do take heed of local hazard warnings and employ a local guide if skiing off piste.

Extended periods of sunshine and fresh dry snow conditions are reported from many of the leading resorts in the Alps currently so skiing conditions are excellent. Temperatures are cool with the freezing level typically rising to not much above resort elevation. The forecast also looks exciting for skiers as heavy snowfall is expected right across the Alps through this Sunday and into next week.

There are fresh snow conditions at all elevations right across the Alps now and the forecast indicates there is more snow to come. On high pistes powder snow is on offer but even on lower pistes and resort runs, where conditions were damaged by recent mild weather, skiing is much improved. Off piste the avalanche risk is high in many areas so do take heed of local hazard warnings.

Heavy falls of fresh snow are sweeping across the Alps with all the leading resorts of Austria, France, Italy and Switzerland reporting much improved snow conditions at all elevations. The freezing level is now typically close to resort elevation and will fall further this weekend when further snowfall is forecast. So a fast improving situation for skiers in the Alps but beware of the increasing avalanche risk.

Temperatures are falling in the Alps and fresh snowfall is now forecast to affect all the leading resorts in the coming days. Recent mild air, plus rain, sleet and snow has created highly variable conditions but generally the highest pistes hold dry fresh snow whilst skiing on lower slopes is on wet and heavy snow cover. If the snowfall arrives as forecast then expect much improved skiing in most resorts by this weekend

There has been fresh snowfall along the northern Alps but the freeing level has risen to well above resort elevation in most locations. For skiers this means wet snow on lower slopes and resort runs but improved conditions at the higher elevations. With the rise in temperatures the avalanche risk has become significant so take not of local warnings. The forecast indicates unsettled weather this week but becoming colder with further snowfall.

Heavy snowfall has been falling across the northern Alps, affecting all the leading winter resorts of Austria, France and Switzerland. The western resorts of Italy are also reporting fresh snow cover, but not those in the east. With the freezing level due to rise over the next few days the avalanche risk in many resorts will be high so please do take note of local hazard warnings.

Fresh light snowfall has been reported by ski resorts in the northern Alps and heavier snow is expected through Sunday. All the leading resorts of Austria, France, Italy and Switzerland are offering good skiing conditions with the best snow found on upper slopes but with the fresh snow expect improving conditions at all elevations in the coming week.

Despite the sun temperatures have cooled now and the freezing level is typically just above resort elevation. On Sunday fresh snowfall is forecast to arrive in the Alps so prospects for more good skiing look excellent.

The leading winter resorts of the Alps are offering good skiing currently with almost all uplift and all pistes open. The best snow conditions are found on upper slopes that were less affected by recent mild temperatures and high north facing pistes still hold dry powdery snow. The mountain forecast indicates fresh snow will arrive in the Alps late this weekend so prospects are good for next week.

Recent temperatures have been relatively mild and so the best sport is found on higher slopes where skiing is typically on dry and groomed firm packed snow.

The weekend forecast indicates some light snowfall for the northern Alps but otherwise skiers will have fine and sunny skies to fully enjoy the snow.

Through the weekend there will be light falls of fresh snow across the northern Alps but otherwise skiers can mostly look forward to sunshine skiing with temperatures less cold than they have been - daytime highs close to zero C at resort elevation.

The very low temperatures of recent days are now easing in the Alps though maximum temperatures will remain close to zero at resort elevation. Skiing in the leading alpine resorts is good with almost all pistes now open with skiing on firm packed and groomed dry snow conditions. The freshest snow is found along the northern Alps, whilst the southern Alps remain mostly dry and sunny.

There are good skiing conditions in the Alps this week but daytime temperatures remain very low indeed so skiers need to be well prepared to maximise enjoyment of the snow. Low temperatures, but also sunshine, can be expected through until the weekend and the do note that the avalanche risk remains considerable in the northern and western Alps so watch out for local hazard warnings.

Temperatures in the Alps are very low and this is maintaining very good snow conditions in almost all the leading resorts. Most ski domains have fresh snow conditions at all elevations but the Dolomites of Italy have missed much of the recent snowfall and skiing there on hard packed snow. Further snowfall is forecast for the western Alps.

There were excellent snow conditions in most of the leading alpine resorts through the weekend with fresh powder snow skiing on offer across the northern Alps. Temperatures have been extremely cold but the forecast for the week ahead has less extreme temperatures combined with both periods of snowfall and also sunshine. So the prospects for further good skiing conditions in the Alps this week look very good.

All the leading winter resorts of the Alps are open and offering fresh dry snow conditions at all elevations. This weekend maximum temperatures will remain well below zero in the resorts and skiers will need to prepare well for the cold in order to maximise enjoyment of the good sport on offer. Periods of further snowfall are expected along the northern Alps but otherwise it will be bright with good visibility.

The best ski conditions of the winter are on offer to skiers lucky enough to be heading to the Alps this weekend with fresh and dry snow cover at all elevations in the leading resorts of Austria, France, Italy and Switzerland. The northern and western Alps have the deepest snow cover and this is where the avalanche risk remains considerable so please observe local warning and avoid off piste.
