Country Overview For Burma
The climate in Burma is typically tropical monsoon; cloudy, rainy, hot, humid summers (southwest monsoon, June to September); less cloudy, scant rainfall, mild temperatures, lower humidity during winter (northeast monsoon, December to April). The terrain: central lowlands ringed by steep, rugged highlands. For Nay Pyi Taw in January the daily average maximum temperatures is 33°C with the average minimum 18°C, while in June the average maximum is 31°C with a minimum of 24°C.
