The Scottish ski season continues but through midweek only Cairngorm and Glencoe are operational. Glenshee and the Lecht are now closed and Nevis Range will open from Thursday to Sunday. Temperatures are set to soar in coming days but this weekend could offer fun skiing on sugary spring snow under warm sunny skies.

The season continues in Scotland as major resorts close across the Alps and the Rockies. On Monday all five ski centres will offer some uplift for skiing on Scottish granular sugar spring snow the will vary in texture from hard to soft through the day.

Conditions will be windy and mild on Thursday but it should be dry and all five of the Scottish ski centres hope to open with still lots of skiing on offer on wet spring snow. With the freezing level now over the summits the snow cover is reducing rapidly so skiing on the highest slopes is best, when the winds allow access lifts to operate.

The freezing level moves up to 4000ft on Wednesday and this means Scottish spring snow conditions at all elevations. All five of the ski centres plan to operate with almost all pistes fully complete and lifts operating subject to demand.Overhead conditions will be rather damp and cloudy but any bright periods will provide an opportunity for skiers to enjoy the exceptional late season snow cover.

The fine overhead conditions for skiers in Scotland come to an end through Tuesday as cloud builds and rain, sleet and snow sweeps over the Highlands. By Wednesday it will become brighter and all five centres will continue to offer skiing at all elevations with upper slopes still offering great sport on wet spring snow.

The superb spring conditions continue in Scotland with still favourable overhead ensuring skiers can make the absolute most of skiing at all elevations in all five of the Scottish ski centres. On Monday all pistes and, subject to demand, most lifts can operate.

Wonderful spring snow conditions are on offer in the Highlands and with all pistes and more or less all uplift open at all five of the centres the conditions could hardly be better for Scottish skiers. On Sunday the freezing level will rise to summit level, winds will be light and there should be some good periods of sunshine.

Wonderful snow conditions in the Highlands right now but Friday will see high winds and periods rain. sleet and snow. However the weekend weather and beyond look excellent and there is lots of potential for fully exploiting the remarkable snow cover on pistes of all elevations at all five of the Scottish ski centres.

Thursday should be one of the best days of the season, if visibility remains decent, as all five of the Scottish ski centres hold deep, dry and fresh snow cover at all elevations. With winds not expected to be a problem all lifts can operate, subject to demand, and all pistes are complete and open. On Friday the weather turns wild again.

Deep dry fresh snowfall is reported from all five of the Scottish ski centres and snowfall is expected to continue through to Wednesday afternoon. The forecast indicates good overhead conditions for Thursday and this could well be the best day of the entire season with all runs fully complete in the east and west Highlands. Happy days for Scottish skiing!

The snow keeps coming in Scotland and through the afternoon of Easter Monday fresh snowfall progressively became heavier at all five of the ski centres in the Highlands. It has been a wonderful few days of Easter skiing in the East and West Highlands and now the forecast indicates high winds and snow for the next 2 days.

After periods of fantastic skiing conditions at all five of the Scottish ski centres through the weekend the week ahead promises significant amounts of fresh snow. On Easter Monday all centres in the Highlands will be open with firm dry snow cover at all elevations. Through the day wind and cloud cover will increase as fresh snowfall moves into the region.

There are excellent skiing conditions in prospect for Easter Sunday and Monday in the Scottish Highlands with all five of the ski centres open and offering more or less all pistes at all elevations, plus all uplift. The forecast for the week ahead indicates good ski conditions until mid week when high winds and heavy snowfall is expected to arrive.

It is a long time since the Scottish ski centres have had such complete snow cover for Easter and this weekend almost all Scottish pistes will be complete. Overhead conditions will be pretty reasonable but it will be cold and breezy. Snow conditions will be spring like on lower slopes but fresh and dry at higher elevations.

There are excellent conditions for skiers in the Scottish Highlands and this Easter will be one of the best for many many years in terms of snow cover with all five the centres offering top to bottom skiing and more or less all pistes fully complete. Fresh snowfall will favour the East Highlands through to the weekend.

There are good skiing and snow conditions in the Highlands with fresh snow cover reported today by Glencoe and Nevis Range and fine firm packed and groomed surface conditions at Cairngorm, Glenshee and the Lecht. More or less all runs are complete at all elevations and fresh snow flurries are expected through to the weekend piste.

Windy conditions in the Highlands through Tuesday and this limited uplift at the five Scottish ski centres but on a more positive note fresh snow was falling at all elevations and piste conditions will be improved once uplift open access to all pistes. Wind will ease through Wednesday and Thursday so good skiing in prospect.

Recent fine weather for skiers transitions into more unsettled conditions through midweek across the five Scottish ski centres with heavy sleet and snow likely for extended periods by Wednesday. Prospects for Easter look good though as air temperatures through this week will stay low enough to allow all Scottish pistes to remain complete.

Temperatures have risen and fallen considerably in recent days and this has impacted on surface conditions but light falls of fresh snow and pisting work has improved surface conditions at all elevations.

There have been epic skiing conditions in the Highlands in recent days but weather conditions are changing now and mild air will push the freezing level closer to summit elevation through Thursday with periods of sleet possible. Whilst all centres plan to open with all pistes complete skiers can expect some deterioration of snow conditions on lower slopes.

The wild weather has eased now in the Highlands and skiers on Monday can look forward to relatively calm and bright overhead at all five of the Scottish ski centres. Snow conditions are fresh and dry and once pistes have been prepared the skiing conditions should be excellent at all elevations.
